This I Can Use

We all know the curse of the multi-tabbed browser. At any given time, I’ve got upwards of 1 dozen open tabs in my Firebox browser. At least six of those tabs are open to sites that I use on a daily basis. In no particular order: Gmail, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Blogger, YouTube and Flickr. Now, thanks to the geniuses at Fallon, I’ve got a desktop app that manages most of these most-visited sites for me. Say hello to Skimmer. Classified as a “life-streamer” it is a one-stop shop for me to manage (most of) my online profiles. What’s truly interesting is that this does not come to us from a hot tech start-up or even Google. It comes from ad agency, Fallon. This is the future of advertising. Nice job. (Unfortunately, it’s popularity has crashed the site today. Try again tomorrow.)

Update: Skimmer wins a Lion at Cannes.
